Contrary to popular belief, Erik and I will NOT be homeless as of February 27th! We found this most awesome house last week, our offer was accepted, and it has passed inspection (a very rigorous one, I might add). Praise be to God. It's so obvious He didn't want us in that other house. Our prayer is that this be God's house. May he use it for his Kingdom, and may we always remember we are merely the caretakers.

We won't be able to move in until the middle of March, so you can find us at the "Bryant Hotel" starting Feb. 27th. Bill and Kathy Bryant are dear friends from church who so graciously allow people in transition to stay in their wicked awesome basement! Thank you all so much for praying for us during this process. Well, after the home inspection, we have decided to walk away from the deal on the house below. I guess I got a little over-excited when we had gotten the contract signed and wanted to tell everyone about it. Turns out, the house had some termite damage, standing water on the roof and structural damage in the garage, just to name a few problems.

We hate that we're back at square one, but stand confident that God has a much better plan for us, even if we have to be homeless for a while (we're still selling our condo and the closing is set for the 27th of this month). He is faithful and has always provided for us in abundance. Please pray that everything will work out smooth over these next few weeks and that God will guide us in our decisions on where He wants us.

There's No Place Like Home Monday, February 05, 2007

Sonya and I thought we'd take advantage of this buyer's market that we're in and buy a house. We listed our condo a week ago and it sold in 4 days. 4 DAYS!! I just have to say that Cherie and Amanda at Cornerstone (our real estate agents) know what they're doing. We're closing on our condo on the 27th of this month.

Good-bye little condo, we'll miss you!

Hello friends and family! After a brief hiatus, we are back into the world of blog. Here are some random photos of this Christmas...time with the fam. (April, the Christmas tree photo is just for you!)

Here is our humble abode...we really need to take all of this stuff down. Maybe tonight! (are you up for it Erik?)

My Dad and Erik, after a long afternoon of opening gifts. Isn't it weird how we all think we need to buy so much STUFF for one another? Don't get me wrong, I love to open gifts, but sometimes I think what if there wasn't the pressure to buy anything at Christmas? What would that look like?

Erik was SO excited about his new Leatherman knife...this will be his 4th one. He looses about one a year. Let's see how long this one will last!

Oh yeah, me and my new skiiiiiiis. If only the weather would cooperate, I would have hit the slopes long ago.

We were truly blessed this Christmas. God is so good. We had a wonderful time with family, laughing and playing games. The best of which was FARKEL! (If you don't know what that is, go immediately and find out). We were also honored to have a few friends visit. Shawna, Will, and Gaines Tucker stopped in and spent the night with us last week on their way back to North Carolina. (Orbithon!!!!!!!!) Then, Aaron and Amy Etheridge made our anniversary complete by staying with us on their way back to Searcy! Good times... We are so blessed by these friendships and it was good for the soul to be with them again. Hope you all are having a fabulous start to your New Year.
